Why FundOS
Your financial data never leaves your computer. FundOS stores everything in a local file, with no servers, no accounts, and no telemetry — you are the cloud.
It is free and open source under the AGPL, built by a single developer who actually budgets this way.
How it works
FundOS organizes money into funds, the digital equivalent of envelopes. You allocate income into funds according to a budget, track spending against them, and import transactions directly from your bank.
The Guide walks through the core concepts and a first budget end to end.
Platforms
Windows and Linux today. Android and cross-device sync are planned. macOS support is possible only if a community member is willing to handle the build and notarization, since Apple's $99/year developer fee isn't something this project can cover.
